In 2019, after a longstanding relationship with a global systems integrator, medical manufacturer ConvaTec Group Plc decided to move out. ConvaTec had for long relied on its integrator partnership for streamlining its core business systems of SAP, IBM® Sterling, Hyperion, and others. It was time that the company joined hands with Cloud service providers to assess their systems for cost savings opportunities, while still ensuring the highest levels of service, agility, and alignment with their technology roadmap. Their search led them to the software-enabled services provider Lemongrass.

By migrating, operating, and automating ConvaTec’s SAP systems on AWS, Lemongrass provided continuous innovation through its Lemongrass Cloud Platform (LCP) and Managed Services once the systems were up and running in the Cloud. Not only did this accelerate innovation but also supported the ConvaTec roadmap, including the journey to S/4HANA®, simplification, and optimisation of systems, beyond the SAP-centric ones.

From using LCP to plan integration to executing any-to-any SAP database and operating system migrations with NZDT near-zero downtime to managing AWS environments and keeping them secure, the software does it all. Furthermore, it also performs automated checks on security policy compliance and delivers alerts on backup execution to ensure that the systems are always recoverable.
