FREMONT, CA: Five9, a leading provider of the intelligent cloud contact center, recently announced the appointment of Hardik Parekh as Chief Information Security Officer, an industry-recognized executive with a track record of developing and maturing world-class security programs at companies such as Intuit, Amazon, and Splunk.

Parekh comes to Five9 from Rollbar, where he served as Head of Information Security. He established information security, continuous compliance, and IT teams and defined and implemented the company’s technological strategy and roadmap. He built the product and infrastructure security and privacy strategy at Splunk in his former post as Head of Product Security, which includes on-premise, managed cloud, cloud-native platform/products, mobile products, premium applications, and the application store. Parekh spearheaded the DevSecOps change at Splunk and ensured security at scale and speed.
i-PRO EMEA will be based in Amsterdam and will begin operations on October 1, 2021. Daily operations will continue as usual while business relationships move from Panasonic to i-PRO EMEA. As CISO for Amazon’s Physical Retail Business Unit, Parekh also established a new, highly automated Security Operations Centre. He helped develop industry standards such as the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model, the Building Security In Maturity Model, the NIST Secure Software Development Framework, and the SANS Top 25 Programming Errors.
