FREMONT, CA: One survey found that cybersecurity is the top priority for new IT spending, with data security and risk management spending expected to exceed 150 billion dollars by the end of 2021. Application security, data security, identity access management, infrastructure protection, cloud security, integrated risk management, network security equipment, other information security software, security services, and consumer security software are all segments of the data security and risk management market, according to the survey.

Firms can consider Oracle Data Safe to improve the database components of the above-mentioned data security segments.

Oracle Data Safe's Features

Oracle Data Safe has the following features for protecting sensitive and regulated data in Oracle databases, all contained in a single, simple-to-use, yet powerful security management console:

The Oracle Data Safe's security assessment function allows administrators to analyze the security posture of their database installations. It examines database setups, security controls, and user accounts to create thorough reports on the findings and remediation recommendations aligned with current risk mitigation best practices.

The user assessment function lets administrators to assess the database's general users' security and identify any users that pose a high risk. The feature analyses information about all users in the target databases' data dictionary and calculates a 'risk score' for each of them. For example, it examines the user's type, authentication mode, password policy (issued separately for each user), and the length of time a password remains unchanged. It also takes you to audit records for the specific user. It is simple to set up custom security controls and policies with this much information.

Administrators can use data discovery to find sensitive data in databases. All they have to do is identify the type of sensitive data they want to find. Oracle Data Safe will analyze the data in the target database and the data dictionary linked with it, returning a list of sensitive columns. By default, Oracle Data Safe's Data Discovery capability can locate a wide range of sensitive data, including identifying, financial, IT, healthcare, biographic, academic, and employment data.
