Kubernetes Addressing Hybrid Multi-cloud Businesses Needs

The use cases of Kubernetes platforms continue to grow as organisations expand their cloud infrastructure and have become a service for everything that a business needs.

There will be evolving new types of applications teams manage with their Kubernetes-based platforms. Earlier, customers usually built their Kubernetes platforms on-premise and deployed a more simplified set of applications. However, now as Kubernetes has stabilised, usage patterns have significantly advanced.
More companies are observing to bring their mission-critical, stateful applications to Kubernetes with a wide range of applications administered in containers. Event-driven messaging, databases and mission-critical solutions are expected to shift to Kubernetes to obtain the benefit of the security, scalability, and portability that can be achieved in applications.
In addition, Kubernetes is emerging as more than a container orchestration tool. Its control plane especially has become a backbone of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud operations in general. Declarative API, control loop, and robust role-based access control (RBAC) model that Kubernetes delivers to expand beyond container orchestration to meet the hybrid, multi-cloud requirements of many businesses is taking the pivot place. This progress will be centred around the control place via an extension of Kubernetes API machinery, enabling the definition, management, security, and life cycle of resources or infrastructures that are not natively linked to the Kubernetes runtime. More expert teams to extend the development of Kubernetes in different methods, including with Kubernetes operators.
Businesses will begin on the next step in their DevOps journey and capitalise on the Kubernetes operator framework. There will be an extension of many of the self-service capabilities built on top of Kubernetes to move beyond foundation-level automation of provisioning and life cycle management to a full auto-pilot mode for their services. This will enable deep data-driven insights that drive auto-remediation of events and self-healing abilities, helping these solutions to radically adapt to the needs of the workload.
